Mission Governing Council Meeting of Mizoram State Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (MSEDM)

Aizawl : The Mission Governing Council of the Mizoram State Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (MSEDM) held its first meeting today under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Pu Lalduhoma, at the CM’s Conference Hall.

The Member Secretary, Pu Lalmalsawma Pachuau, Secretary of LESDE, presented an overview of the current status and key highlights of the Governing Council. To implement the Mizoram State Policy for Skill and Entrepreneurship Development 2018 effectively, the government established the Mizoram State Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (MSEDM). This first meeting of the Mission Governing Council, chaired by the Chief Minister, is a significant milestone in advancing skill development initiatives in Mizoram.

Across India, skill development is being pursued as a mission-oriented endeavor. The MSEDM aims to unify and enhance all skill development efforts under the Mizoram government by coordinating various departments and ensuring a cohesive approach to achieve better outcomes.

During the meeting, departments such as Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship; DAY-NULM; MzSRLM; Mizoram Startup Mission; and Commerce & Industries showcased their respective skill development initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Governing Council Vice Chairman Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, Minister of LESDE; Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena, IAS; and other members of the Council.
