Speaking at a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the proposal was discussed during a high-level meeting earlier in the day. She also declined to confirm whether such operations are currently underway, reiterating that these issues fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense and involve classified considerations.
