300 daughters tied the knot under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana : Chief Minister Shri Sai gave blessings

On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the mass marriage of 300 daughters was solemnized with religious rites and rituals under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivaah Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai at the Tatapani Festival of Chhattisgarh.

While blessing the newlyweds, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that by organizing mass marriages under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana, poor and needy families are getting financial support for the marriage of their daughters. Expressing happiness on her marriage, Divyang Kanya of Kusmi block, Ms. Kunti Nagesia said that marriage was not possible due to my financial condition and disability. With the blessings of the Chief Minister and the help of the scheme, today my dream has come true. Other newlyweds and their families also appreciated this event.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Shri Ramvichar Netam, other public representatives and thousands of citizens witnessed this historic event. The Chief Minister wished the newlyweds to make their married life happy with mutual respect and responsibility. He said that the Tatapani Mahotsav has filled the hearts of daughters of economically weak families with new hopes and happiness.
