Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Receives a Warm Welcome in Zurich
Zurich, Switzerland : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, today to attend the World Economic Forum. He was greeted with enthusiasm by members of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh and Seva Switzerland organizations. Reflecting pride in Maharashtra’s cultural heritage, the local Marathi community welcomed him traditionally, performing a lively lezim dance.
During the event, children from Zurich sang a Marathi pride anthem, emphasizing the sentiment of “returning once again.” Young participants Vedant, Hrishikesh, Rashmi, and Advika captured everyone’s hearts with their innocent best wishes.
The welcome ceremony, held at 6 AM, was graced by the presence of Indian Ambassador Mridul Kumar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. Marathi community members from various regions attended the event with great enthusiasm.
Expressing his gratitude, CM Fadnavis said, “This heartfelt welcome made me feel at home. Here, I truly experienced the energy of Maharashtra and the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family).”
