Congratulations to the Men’s and Women’s Teams for Inscribing India’s Name on Kho-Kho’s First World Cup; Special Praise for Captains Priyanka Ingle and Pratik Waikar

Mumbai : “This victory is unforgettable, and it fills Maharashtra with immense pride,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, congratulating the Indian men’s and women’s teams for their historic achievement in winning the first-ever Kho-Kho World Cup.

Expressing delight over this remarkable feat under Maharashtra’s leadership, CM Fadnavis lauded the captains of the women’s and men’s teams, Priyanka Ingle and Pratik Waikar, for their exceptional efforts in elevating Maharashtra’s stature.

“The sons and daughters of Maharashtra have etched India’s name on the inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup. The world champion women’s team captain Priyanka Ingle, along with players Ashwini Shinde, Reshma Rathod, and Vaishnavi Pawar, as well as men’s team captain Pratik Waikar and players Suyash Gargate, Aniket Pote, Aditya Ganapule, and Ramji Kashyap, deserve the highest praise for this historic accomplishment,” Fadnavis remarked.

The Chief Minister also credited the success to the guidance of the men’s team coach, Shirin Godbole, women’s team coach Prachitai Waikar, and physiotherapist Dr. Amit Ravhate, acknowledging their significant contribution to this unforgettable victory. He emphasized that the players’ hard work, combined with the unwavering support of their families, was instrumental in achieving this milestone.

CM Fadnavis extended heartfelt congratulations to all involved and wished the players great success in their future endeavors.
