Not a Single Welfare Scheme for Delhi’s Poor Will Be Stopped: Amit Shah
Delhi: With the assembly elections drawing closer, the political atmosphere in the national capital is heating up. On Saturday, Union Home Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Amit Shah unveiled Part-3 of the party’s Sankalp Patra (manifesto) for the 2025 Delhi elections. During the event, Shah launched a scathing attack on former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of failing to deliver on his promises. He assured the public that the BJP would not stop a single welfare scheme for Delhi’s poor.
Speaking at the manifesto release, Shah emphasized that the Sankalp Patra reflects the BJP’s commitment to performance and trust, not false promises. “Since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has shifted Indian politics toward a focus on performance. The BJP’s Sankalp Patra is based on practical goals and aspirations, not empty rhetoric,” he said.
Highlighting the inclusivity of the manifesto, Shah revealed that over 1.08 lakh suggestions were collected from Delhi’s residents, including youth, women, and slum dwellers. “Sixty-two sections were carefully analyzed to ensure the manifesto addresses the needs of every group. The entire budget of Delhi was reviewed to make this document comprehensive and realistic,” he added.
Shah further claimed that the BJP has consistently fulfilled its electoral promises and assured voters that this Sankalp Patra would be no exception. “Our manifesto is a blueprint for Delhi’s future and reflects our intent to serve all sections of society,” he said.
As the election battle intensifies, Shah’s assurance of continuing welfare schemes and delivering on promises highlights the BJP’s strategy to appeal to Delhi’s diverse population.
