“Uttar Pradesh Approves Land for Maharashtra Sadan in Ayodhya!”

Mumbai : The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a plot of 2.327 acres for setting up Maharashtra Sadan in Ayodhya. Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan announced that this Maharashtra Sadan, which will be built for the convenience of guests, devotees, and tourists from Maharashtra, will be completed within the next two years.

A Greenfield Township is being developed in Ayodhya near the National Highway and Sharyu River by the Planning Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has approved this plot at this location. A provision of Rs. 67.14 crore has been made by the Public Works Department for the acquisition of the plots. Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan informed yesterday, while inspecting the proposed site in Ayodhya, that a budget of around Rs. 260 crore has been prepared for the construction, electrification, and other facilities of this building. Additional Chief Secretary of the Department Manisha Mhaiskar-Patankar, Secretary Sadashiv Salunkhe, Secretary Sanjay Dashputre, Chief Engineer Ranjit Hande, along with Engineers P.K. Singh, Abhishek Verma, Vinay Chavan, and other officers of the Planning Department of Uttar Pradesh were present.

The proposed Maharashtra Sadan will be built approximately 7.5 km from the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, 4.5 km from the Ayodhya Dham railway station, and about 11 km from the newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, as informed by Minister Chavan.

The decision to build the Maharashtra Sadan in Ayodhya was made by the grand coalition government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The site was previously determined by visiting the actual location in Ayodhya. Accordingly, yesterday, through the Public Works Minister, 10% of the amount was paid to the Government of Uttar Pradesh as the first phase of the transaction for this 2.327-acre plot. Minister Chavan stated that after paying the full price for the site within the next two months, the process of building the Bhakta Sadan will begin as soon as possible.
