Construction of the Building of Sundarlal Patwa National Institute of Management Progressing at Fast Pace

Building in Bhauri, Bhopal is being constructed at a cost of ₹45 crore

The construction work of the Sundarlal Patwa National Institute of Management building is being carried out rapidly in Bhauri, Bhopal, at a cost of ₹45 crore by the Urban Development and Housing Department. Recently, the director of the institute, Shri Kailash Wankhede and departmental officials visited the construction site to review the progress of the building construction.

Objective of the Institute

The purpose of establishing the institute is to achieve development goals with transparency, accountability, and public participation in the functioning of urban bodies. For this, regular training programs are being conducted for capacity building of urban body public servants and elected representatives. Currently, the institute is operating in the municipal building complex in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal. The institute has conducted 49 state-level training programs in the year 2024-25 so far. Over one thousand participants have received training on various topics in these programs. In addition, under the central government’s integrated capacity-building scheme, the institute has conducted 18 training programs, with approximately 760 participants.

Under Construction New Campus

A land of 10.12 hectares has been provided for the Sundarlal Patwa National Institute of Management near Rajabhoj International Airport in Bhauri, Bhopal. The institute is constructing training buildings, libraries, sports facilities, smart classrooms, residential units for officers and employees and four hostels.

Online Training

The institute is preparing a program to provide both offline and online training to approximately 3,000 elected representatives and government public servants under the Mission Karmayogi project in 2025-26. The institute has conducted 611 training programs so far, with about 27,400 participants trained in various subjects. Digital technology is also being utilized in these training programmes.
