Tata Motors and ITI Aliganj Sign MoU for Dual System of Training
Stipend, Free Canteen, and Bus Facility Along with Training
Modern Technical Training in 13 Trades
New Opportunities Open for the Youth of the State
Lucknow : The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has launched the Dual System of Training (DST) in government industrial training institutes to equip youth with industry-relevant skills. In line with this initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Aliganj, Lucknow, and Tata Motors, Lucknow under the DST scheme.
This MoU marks a new chapter in the field of skill development and employment. It is expected to benefit not only the trainees but also the industrial units by providing them with a skilled workforce.
13 Trades Included in the Program
Under this agreement, 13 trades have been included: Fitter, Electrician, Electric Power Distribution, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Welder, Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV), Mechanic Diesel, Tractor Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Painter General, and Wireman. Young trainees in these trades will gain hands-on industry experience.
Benefits of the DST Scheme:
As part of the program, trainees will be placed in industries for:
- 3 to 6 months for one-year courses
- 6 months to 1 year for two-year courses
Additionally, trainees will receive a monthly stipend of approximately ₹8,500, along with free canteen and bus facilities.
A Historic Step Towards Linking Training with Employment
While signing the MoU, Raj Kumar Yadav, Principal of ITI Aliganj, said, “This partnership is a historic opportunity for our trainees. Collaborating with a reputed company like Tata Motors will provide them with both technical education and industrial experience, leading to excellent employment prospects.”
Jasneet Rakhra, Head of HR at Tata Motors, stated, “We are proud to sign this agreement with ITI Aliganj. Through this dual training model, we aim to prepare youth according to the industry’s needs. This initiative will benefit not only the trainees but also help us access a skilled workforce.”
