Lucknow : The Yogi government’s vision of taking Sanskrit to the masses is steadily becoming a reality. With continuous efforts to inspire a love for Sanskrit among students and the youth, initiatives are underway to promote, preserve, and celebrate the ancient language. As part of this mission, the government is set to recognize young talents at the state level once again through the Sanskrit Talent Search and Sanskrit Study Promotion Scholarship programs.

This initiative will identify promising Sanskrit scholars from the district to the state level through the Sanskrit Pratibha Khoj (Sanskrit Talent Search) examination. The competition will be conducted in Category A: Students from Classes 6 to 12, and Category B: Graduate and postgraduate students.

The district-level exams will take place from July 5th to 31st, with the online phase from July 20th to 31st. The divisional-level round is scheduled from August 5th to 13th, followed by online exams from September 10th to 20th, and then the state-level competition.

The talent search includes a variety of events, with Category A: Sanskrit Song, Sanskrit General Knowledge, Shlok-Antyakshari, memorization of Ashtadhyayi, Amarkosh, Laghusiddhantakaumudi, and Tark Sangrah, and Category B: Sanskrit General Knowledge, Sanskrit Speech, and Dictation.

Former President of the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan, Dr. Vachaspati Mishra, emphasized that the initiative is pivotal in connecting youth with Sanskrit. This year, too, hidden talents will be brought to light through the examination, and the best performers will be duly rewarded.

At the state level, winners will receive the following prizes: First Prize, Rs 11,000; Second Prize, Rs 7,000; Third Prize, Rs 5,000; and three Consolation Prizes of Rs 3,000 each.

In addition to cash prizes at district and divisional levels, all participants will receive certificates, mementoes, and travel reimbursement at the divisional and state stages. Interested candidates can access complete details at: upsanskritpratibhakhoj.com
