Yogi govt launches 2,800 centers to empower ITI-Polytechnic passouts

With the rapid growth of IT, electronics, automobile, and manufacturing industries; the youth of the state are getting jobs on a large scale

The goal of the Yogi government is to provide employment to every youth based on their skills

Lucknow : Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is actively working to bridge the gap between skilled youth and private sector opportunities. As part of this vision, 2,800 training centers have been established across the state to equip ITI and Polytechnic graduates with modern, industry-relevant skills. So far, 5,66,483 youth have secured employment through the Mission Rozgar Yojana.

The results of this ambitious initiative are visible in urban centers such as Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Varanasi, where job opportunities are rapidly expanding with the growth of IT, electronics, automobile, manufacturing, and agro-based industries.

According to Training, Counseling and Placement Officer M.A. Khan, leading companies like Continental Automotive, Anglo India, Adani Wind, Paytm, and Ageas Federal Life Insurance participated in a job fair held at Government ITI, Aliganj, Lucknow, on April 15. A total of 22 candidates were selected, with monthly salaries ranging from ₹13,000 to ₹21,000 along with additional benefits.

During employment drives held on March 22, 73 candidates secured jobs under the Mission Rozgar Yojana, while another 95 were placed through the Government Polytechnic. These efforts highlight the government’s commitment to skill-based employment.

Through the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, free training is being provided to youth up to age 35. Since 2017-18, over 14.13 lakh young individuals have received training. The government has partnered with 24 industrial units and eight placement agencies to ensure a direct pipeline from training to employment.

Additionally, ITI and Polytechnic institutions across the state have been upgraded with modern infrastructure and facilities to familiarize students with the latest technologies and industry trends—preparing them for today’s job market demands.

With progressive industrial policies and aggressive investment promotion campaigns, Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a steady influx of new companies. This fuels the state’s industrial growth and generates abundant employment opportunities for the youth, firmly positioning UP as an emerging powerhouse of skilled manpower and industrial progress.
