“Karmabhoomi Se Matribhoomi” Program in Mumbai – Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state government is dedicatedly working to achieve the vision of a developed Rajasthan by prioritizing the development of water, energy, employment, and the industrial sector. He emphasized that the participation of 8 crore people in the state, as well as the crucial role of the migrant Rajasthani community, will play an essential part in realizing this vision.

Shri Sharma made these remarks while addressing the migrant Rajasthani community at the “Karmabhoomi Se Matribhoomi” program held in Mumbai on Saturday. He expressed his joy in seeing the contributions of the migrant Rajasthani community, not only towards the development of their work places but also in connecting with their roots and contributing towards the prosperity of Rajasthan.

The Chief Minister highlighted the efforts made by the migrant community in the field of water conservation. He mentioned that, inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government’s “Karmabhoomi Se Matribhoomi” campaign is receiving abundant support from philanthropists and migrant Rajasthani brothers and sisters. This initiative will involve the construction of nearly 45,000 water conservation structures in the state, which will not only increase water availability but also help raise groundwater levels.

State Government’s Efforts for Water Availability: Shri Sharma outlined various steps taken by the government to ensure adequate water availability in the state. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government has signed agreements related to the long-pending ERCP (Ram Jal Setu Link Project), and work has commenced. He also spoke about the important Yamuna water agreement for the Shekhawati region and efforts made to bring drinking water to Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Sikar districts. Additionally, projects like the Mahi Basin water management and the Devasa project are progressing. Further, efforts are underway to improve the water supply to Jalore, Sirohi, and Barmer using water from the Narmada River.

Energy, Industry, and Employment: Shri Sharma mentioned that the state government has signed MoUs worth ₹2.24 lakh crore with central enterprises to make the state self-reliant in the energy sector. He also highlighted that the most investment proposals during the “Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit” held last December were in the energy sector. He stated that out of proposals worth ₹35 lakh crore, ground-breaking ceremonies for ₹3 lakh crore investments have already taken place. Additionally, the state government has set a target to provide 1 lakh jobs in a year, of which 69,000 have already been fulfilled.

Support for Investors: Inviting the migrant Rajasthani community to invest in Rajasthan, Shri Sharma assured them that the state government would provide all possible assistance for their business growth and for contributing to the state’s prosperity. He added that the government has appointed IAS officers as nodal officers in different countries and states to coordinate between the state government and investors.

During the event, Union Minister for Jal Shakti Shri C.R. Patil spoke about the nationwide water conservation efforts under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, along with the implementation of tap water connections for every household. He stressed that with proper water management, there would be no water scarcity anywhere in the country.

Also present were Gujarat’s Minister of State for Home Shri Harsh Sanghvi, Minister of State for Forest Shri Mukesh Bhai Patel, and Jodhpur MLA Shri Atul Bhansali, along with several other public representatives and a large number of migrant Rajasthani attendees.
