His Excellency the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin In the training session held at the Ergal Chennai Training Center, Under the “I Am First” scheme, I had the honor to deliver a speech at the ceremony that acknowledged the achievements of individuals who have excelled in public services through the UPSC Civil Services Examination. I am very pleased to be part of this special event, and I express my deepest gratitude to the honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, for launching this initiative. Under the “I Am First” scheme, 50 people from our state have qualified. The progress of Tamil Nadu is evident from the success of these individuals, and our state is ranked number one in this domain.

At one point, people from Tamil Nadu used to travel to other states in India, to serve as IAS, IPS officers. However, there was a shift in this trend starting from the year 2020–2021, when 27 people from Tamil Nadu cleared the UPSC exams. This is a great accomplishment for Tamil Nadu, and we remain number one in public service.

Our Chief Minister has taken the initiative to launch several projects under the “I Am First” scheme, and it is through these programs that our state continues to rise and achieve success. I am delighted to congratulate the hon’ble Chief Minister for his vision and leadership. This scheme has been a significant step towards providing education and support to the youth, which is why many UPSC aspirants from Tamil Nadu have found success.

Under the “I Am First” program, financial assistance is provided to deserving candidates. The federal government also plays an important role in this, making investments to ensure that Tamil Nadu continues to lead in providing opportunities to youth. Through these efforts, Tamil Nadu continues to achieve remarkable results in UPSC Civil Services examinations.

I urge you to keep moving forward and achieve greater heights. In the future, the next generations of Tamil Nadu should continue this tradition of excellence. I extend my sincere thanks to all those who have been part of this initiative, including the training staff, coaches, and everyone who contributed to making this program a success.

I would also like to thank the Chief Secretary, the Additional Chief Secretary, the Director of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, and all other officials involved. This event is a recognition of the outstanding work being done in the public service sector, and I express my gratitude to each one for their dedication and hard work.

Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all those present, and to the officials who have contributed to the success of this event.
Thank you.
