Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that great heroes like Raja Hriday Shah, Raja Shankar Shah, Kunwar Raghunath Shah, Rani Durgavati, Birsa Munda, and Tantya Mama fought with pride, dignity, and valor for the country’s freedom. They stood up to protect water, land, forests, and their identity. These tribal legends of our state and country have made us proud. In their honor, Krantisurya Tantya Mama University has been established in Khargone, he added.

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the two-day “Aadi Utsav” at Ramnagar in Mandla on Monday. He visited the Moti Mahal built by Hriday Shah and inaugurated a folk art exhibition. He also laid the foundation and inaugurated development works worth Rs. 61 crore.

Development of Forts and Memorials Announced

The Chief Minister announced development works for the monuments and forts built by the Gond kings of the tribal community. He said that structures such as Moti Mahal, Rani Mahal, and the memorials of Raja Shankar Shah, Kunwar Raghunath Shah, and Rani Durgavati in Ramnagar and Mandla will be included in these development plans.

He instructed Collector Shri Somesh Mishra from the stage to prepare a proposal for developing Madhya, a site in Ramnagar, which will include a seating arrangement for 5,000 people, drinking water facilities, and accommodation infrastructure.

Rs. 1,600 Crore Approved for Tribal Development under PESA

During the conclusion of Aadi Utsav, Dr. Yadav announced that Rs. 1,600 crore is being allocated under the PESA Act for the conservation of water, forests, and land in Baiga, Bharia, and Sahariya tribal areas.

He also highlighted Procurement of wheat from farmers at Rs. 2,600 per quintal, Provision of electricity connections to farmers at just Rs. 5, Advancement toward freeing farmers from electricity bills by providing solar pumps, and Plans to purchase power produced by farmers.

 25% Subsidy on Purchase of Cows and Buffaloes

The Chief Minister announced 25% subsidy on the purchase of up to 25 cows or buffaloes, 50 cows or buffaloes to be provided by the government on the purchase of 200 animals to boost milk production in Madhya Pradesh.

Mass Wedding Ceremony for Tribal Daughters

As part of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, weddings of 600 tribal daughters were solemnized at the Aadi Utsav. CM Dr. Yadav showered flower petals on the newlywed couples and distributed cheques of Rs. 49,000 to each bride under the scheme.

Government to Cover College Fees for Tribal Youths

CM Dr. Yadav encouraged tribal students to become lawyers, doctors, and engineers, stating that the state will bear their college fees. He also assured that the students will receive the best coaching support.

Aadi Utsav Showcases Tribal Heritage

Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uikey said that the Aadi Utsav has been held in Ramnagar annually since 2015. It showcases tribal folk culture, customs, traditions, and history. She extended greetings to all participants.

MP Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste noted that tribal communities from across India participate in Aadi Utsav. The Gondwana Gond kings ruled for over 1,500 years, and the event educates future generations about their tribal heritage.

Participation of Ministers and Public Representatives from Multiple States

The Aadi Utsav in Ramnagar was attended by ministers, MLAs, and MPs from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh. Notable attendees included Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey, Union Minister of State Smt. Savitri Thakur, UP Minister of State for Social Welfare (SC/ST) Shri Sanjeev Gaur, MPs Smt. Himadri Singh (Shahdol) and Shri Bhojraj Nag (Kanker), and MLAs from Barghat, Gotegaon, Sihora, Shahpura, Dharmapuri, &  Ramkola (UP), District Panchayat Presidents, Municipal Chairpersons, and former MLAs including Shri Dev Singh Saiyam, Shri Rampyare Kulaste, Shri Shivraj Shah, Shri Pandit Singh Dhurve, and others.
