Indian National Congress promulgates national solidarity from ocean to mountain.

As a mark of patriotic fervour, and in praise of the armed forces, the Indian National Congress has organised several cultural engagements to epitomise national solidarity across the country.

The Karnataka State Congress on Friday organised a “Tiranga Yatra” in the state capital to express solidarity with the Indian armed forces, with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar triranga yatrainvoking the leadership of former prime minister Indira Gandhi in handling crises.

The rally, which began from KR Circle and culminated at Minsk Square near the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium, saw participation from a wide cross-section of society, including students, retired defence personnel, and leaders from various political backgrounds. Addressing the gathering, Shivakumar said, “We invited all sections of the society… We want to salute our armed forces and stand in solidarity with them. I’m pleased that within a short period, all sections of people, including retired armed forces, students, and all political parties, are participating here. India is stronger. Like we managed the situation under the leadership of Indira Gandhi, the same will happen now, and India will win“, he said.

Home Minister Dr G. Parmeshwara, who also participated in the rally, said, “We would like to send out a message saying that we are all with you (Indian armed forces). Whatever action you have taken, it’s appreciated and praised. This rally has been organised to say that symbolically“.

Echoing similar sentiments, Minister HK Patil remarked, “This Tiranga Yatra conveys our moral support and appreciation for our armed forces. They have shown the world that India is the strongest and the most intelligent force in the world. We are not in favour of escalating a conflict with Pakistan, but we will not keep quiet if the neighbouring country does it“. The event was marked by patriotic fervour, with participants waving the national flag and raising slogans in praise of the armed forces.

In Manipur, the Congress on Friday staged a ‘Jai Hind Yatra’ in solidarity with the armed forces who are fighting Pakistan-based terrorists. State Congress president K Meghachandra said thousands of party workers took part in the march taken around Congress head office. All Congress workers and supporters carried the Indian flag as they marched on the street of Imphal. Former chief minister O Ibobi Singh said, “It’s a fight against terrorists and we all support and encourage our armed forces“, he said. Ibobi further said the fight is not against any community or country but purely against terrorists.

The party in Manipur had decided to stop Save Constitution campaign and other activities in awake of the development in the border areas. “The AICC has decided to pause all the party activities as a mark of solidarity to the Armed Forces in this critical hour”, Ibobi Singh told reporters.

He affirmed that the Congress has decided to extend full support and solidarity to the Armed Forces. For the unity and integrity of the nation, the party will support Operation Sindoor and extend all assistance to the government, he added.

Senior Vice President, Vidyapati Senjam and Vice President Hareshwar Goshwami also attended the conference and appealed to all to extend solidarity with the Armed Forces of our country in Operation Sindoor and holding Tiranga Yatra in Manipur, at Congress Bhavan in Imphal.

In Ranchi, Jharkhand, the solidarity celebrations witnessed the “feminine power” when several Bengali Hindu Women indulged in ‘Vermillion Game – Sindoor Khela’ as a mark towards solidarity for Indian Armed Forces amidst the ongoing Indo-Pak tension.

Clad in an authentic Bengali attire, the fairer gender in groups blew ‘conch shells’ to mark the reign of “Good over Evil”.
