Hyderabad Hosts Grand Launch of Miss World 2025
The 72nd edition of the Miss World competition has officially begun in Hyderabad, marking a proud moment for India. The grand opening ceremony took place at the Gachibowli Stadium, with over 110 contestants from around the world participating in the global beauty pageant. Representing India is Miss India Nandini Gupta, who has already captured the spotlight with her presence.
The event opened with a vibrant showcase of Telangana’s rich cultural heritage. The state anthem “Jayajayahe Telangana” was performed to mark the official inauguration. A highlight of the evening was the energetic Perini dance presented by 250 artists, leaving the audience enthralled. Contestants from various countries walked the ramp in their traditional attire, offering a colorful display of global cultures and traditions.
In a unique touch, the programming also included special features designed to celebrate and promote Telangana’s identity and legacy. The blend of international glamour with local tradition created a memorable start to the prestigious event.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by several prominent dignitaries. These included Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Director General of Police Jitender, Telangana Tourism Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, and Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalakshmi. Also present were Miss World CEO Julia Morley and Miss World 2024 winner Kristina Piskova.
The Miss World 2025 event promises to bring global attention to Hyderabad, not only as a cultural hub but also as a destination capable of hosting world-class international events.
