Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari Holds Review Meeting – Instructs Officials to Handle Public-Centric Work with Sensitivity

Jaipur : Deputy Chief Minister and Ajmer District In-Charge Minister, Diya Kumari, held a review meeting in Ajmer on Sunday to assess the implementation of budget announcements and flagship schemes. Union Agriculture Minister Shri Bhagirath Choudhary, MLA Smt. Anita Bhadel, and Masuda MLA Virendra Singh Kanawat highlighted key needs of the region. District Collector Shri Lok Bandhu and Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana shared updates on progress across various sectors.

Deputy CM Diya Kumari emphasized that both the Rajasthan and Central Governments are committed to improving the living standards of citizens. She urged the acceleration of scheme implementation and stressed that matters directly affecting the public should be addressed with empathy. She underlined the importance of ensuring basic services like water, electricity, and healthcare reach every citizen, and grievances received via various platforms should be promptly resolved. Coordination with local public representatives was also encouraged.

She said that the government has announced budget allocations for the development of the Pushkar pilgrimage area and directed regular monitoring for its implementation. Development around the temples and Pushkar Lake should be carried out without disturbing the sanctity and original essence of the holy site. She suggested referencing old photographs and illustrations for guidance and called for strict efforts to prevent sewage from entering the sacred lake. Work on the lake’s feeder channels must also be expedited.

She further stated that the budget provision for a sector road should be executed by issuing tenders within two weeks. Land for the proposed convention hall should be identified within a week, and the selected site must meet maximum utility standards. This task will be undertaken by the Ajmer Development Authority. She directed that the renovation of water sources in Ajmer should strictly follow the prescribed guidelines.

The Deputy CM mentioned the state’s eco-friendly “Waste to Wealth Park” initiative, recommending its location be accessible to the maximum number of people while also exploring revenue-generation opportunities. Necessary directions for its construction should be obtained from the competent authority. The meeting also reviewed the availability of doctors and vacant posts in the district.

She emphasized that road construction and other works under the Ajmer Development Authority should be of the highest quality. Roads must include proper drainage, and any new road must replace old ones. Roads under the Public Works Department in urban areas should be transferred to the Ajmer Development Authority for better execution.

She noted that the Vedanta Group is set to work in the state’s anganwadis and instructed officials to gather updates on their activities in the district. For the proposed multi-purpose stadium, land ownership must be transferred to the Ajmer Development Authority within a week through coordinated action by the concerned departments. She also urged implementation of the budget-announced diabetes awareness campaign through the “Madhukari” program to educate the public and ensure regular treatment.

During the review of flagship schemes, Deputy CM Diya Kumari directed that all eligible beneficiaries must be included. She called for expanding the number of beneficiaries under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme and ensuring the issuance of Vay Vandana Cards to all senior citizens to justify the scheme’s launch. She urged swift completion of surveys under the PM Awas Yojana and accelerated implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission. Identified villages under the Poverty-Free Village Scheme should be linked to relevant government schemes to lift residents above the poverty line.

Responding to MLA Anita Bhadel’s request, Deputy CM inspected road construction work on Kacheri Road. She discussed waterlogging issues with officials and local shopkeepers, stressing that drainage must direct rainwater efficiently to prevent accumulation and ensure high-quality road construction.

Union Agriculture Minister Shri Bhagirath Choudhary said drinking water supply in rural areas must remain uninterrupted during the summer. He called for the removal of illegal water connections to ensure supply reaches the last user. He also stressed the need for regular household waste collection in villages and timely road repairs during the warranty period, holding contractors accountable.

MLA Smt. Anita Bhadel suggested that the list of villages under the Poverty-Free Village Scheme should be shared with elected representatives. She noted that Chandravardai Stadium has all necessary sports facilities and should be used to develop local sports talent, recommending that a proposal be sent to the state government.

Masuda MLA Shri Virendra Singh Kanawat emphasized the importance of inclusive development with collective participation.

Present on the occasion were Zila Parishad CEO Shri Abhishek Khanna, Municipal Commissioner Shri Deshal Dan, Additional District Collectors Jyoti Kakwani and Smt.
