Kishore Darade Wins Nashik Teacher Constituency

Nashik : Kishore Darade (Shiv Sena) secured 26,476 votes in the biennial election for the Nashik Division Teachers Constituency, announced Electoral Officer and Divisional Commissioner Dr. Praveen Gedam.

The counting of votes took place at the Central Wakhar Corporation godown in Ambad. A total of 30 tables were used for vote counting. Out of 64,853 voters, 63,151 votes were valid, while 1,702 votes were invalid. The fixed quota for winning was set at 31,576 votes. After the 19th elimination round, Sandeep Gulve (Patil) was eliminated, leaving the final contest between Kishore Darade and Vivek Kolhe. Darade secured the quota by receiving an additional 5,060 votes in the highest preference order, while Kolhe ended with 17,393 votes after the third round and 6,072 votes in the most preferred order.

After completing the vote count, the report was sent to the Election Commission of India. With the commission’s permission, Dr. Gedam declared Darade the winning candidate and presented him with a certificate.

Election Inspector Vikram Kumar, Nashik Collector Jalaj Sharma, Ahmednagar Collector Siddharam Salimath, Dhule Collector Abhinav Goyal, Jalgaon Collector Ayush Prasad, Nandurbar Collector Manisha Khatri, Assistant Election Returning Officer and Additional Commissioner Nilesh Sagar, along with senior officers, counting supervisors, and co-supervisors, were present on this occasion.
