Following Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s proposal to discuss pending issues stemming from the bifurcation act, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reciprocated by inviting him to a face-to-face meeting on July 6 at Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Bhavan in Hyderabad.
In his letter, CM Revanth Reddy stated, “I fully support your suggestion for a personal meeting between us, representing the two Telugu states. Resolving all pending issues from the Bifurcation Act is crucial. A direct interaction will lay the groundwork for mutual cooperation, exchange of ideas, and better service to our people.”
He extended a warm invitation to Naidu on behalf of the people of Telangana and his administration, scheduling the meeting for the afternoon of July 6 at the Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy also congratulated Naidu on his impressive victory in the recent Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
In his letter, Revanth Reddy wrote, “Congratulations on your remarkable fourth term as Chief Minister, a rare achievement in Independent India’s political history. Wishing you success in this term.”
Chandrababu Naidu had proposed the meeting in a letter to the Telangana Chief Minister on Monday, emphasizing the need to address unresolved bifurcation issues comprehensively.
“It has been a decade since the bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Discussions on issues arising from the Reorganization Act have been ongoing, impacting the welfare and progress of our states significantly. It is imperative that we approach these issues with diligence and resolve them amicably. Therefore, I propose that we meet at your convenience on Saturday afternoon, July 6,” Naidu stated in his letter.
