Malda DRM Office First in Eastern Railway to Get ISO & 5S Certification.

The Divisional Railway Manager Office (DRM Office), Malda Division, Eastern Railway, has achieved a significant milestone by being officially accredited with the ISO 9001:2015 and 5S Certification.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a globally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring that the office services and processes meet rigorous quality standards along with customer expectations. The 5S Certification is a systematic methodology for workplace organisation and standardisation, focused on creating a clean, well-organised, and efficient work environment.

This achievement reflects the Malda Division’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement in the Divisional Operation.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, a special event was organised at the DRM Office in Malda. The event was graced by Mr. Ajit Kumar, Senior Consultant from Glowell Consultant, who formally presented the certification to Mr. Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Malda Division.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Manish Kumar Gupta, DRM of Malda, expressed his pride in the accomplishment and emphasised the importance of maintaining a clean and organised workplace. “This achievement reflects that a well-managed, hygienic work environment not only saves time but also enhances productivity. Systematic management fosters a culture of discipline and continuous improvement”, he remarked.

Mr. Sheo Kumar Prasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Mr. Pradip Das, Sr. Divisional Environmental and Housekeeping Manager, along with other senior branch officers, were also present to appreciate the achievements.

This certification is a testament to the DRM Office’s proactive approach towards sustainability, quality service delivery, and its unwavering focus on setting high standards for organisational and environmental performance.
