Decision to Organize Numerous Events in India and Abroad to Promote Sindhi Language, Literature, and Culture; Need to Foster Interest Among the New Generation — Assembly Speaker

Jaipur: Under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohan Manghani, Vice President of the National Sindhi Language Development Council (NCSL), and in the presence of Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devanani, an important meeting of NCSL was held on Thursday in RK Puram, New Delhi. Several key decisions were made to promote Sindhi language, literature, and culture, including organizing one international, five national, and an equal number of state-level programs, along with 100 local events. Other decisions included conducting coaching and training camps for skill development, civil services, and other competitive exams, as well as workshops in schools and colleges.

The meeting also decided to observe August 14 as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day across the country. This day was initiated on the suggestion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Discussions were held on organizing various events to stay connected with Sindhu culture.

Review of Sindhi education programs took place, including scheduling exams, evaluation of answer sheets, publication of results, and distribution of certificates in a timely manner. Considering the council’s expanding activities, a decision was made to request the central education minister for allocation of an additional office space.

Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devanani emphasized the urgent need to maintain the identity of Sindhi language, literature, and culture and to seriously work towards generating interest among the new generation. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in promoting India’s diverse culture globally and securing international recognition for Indian yoga, which led to International Yoga Day being celebrated worldwide.

Devanani urged that vigorous efforts be made to organize international, national, state, district, and local level programs to promote the growth of Sindhi language, literature, and culture. He also stressed that Sindhi language exams, answer sheet evaluations, results, and certificate distributions should be conducted on schedule to avoid any disruption for students in higher education and employment opportunities.
