Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme: Payal Receives ₹1 Lakh Support
Raipur : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is running various schemes aimed at the welfare of workers and their families. These initiatives seek to improve the social and economic conditions of labourers by offering consistent financial assistance. One such initiative is the Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme, which is implemented under the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The scheme provides a financial incentive of ₹1,00,000 to the top ten meritorious children of registered construction workers.
A labour officer reported that Smt. Sita Bai, a resident of village Kumharikala in Bamhanidih block of Janjgir-Champa district, is registered under the category of Reja-Kuli (manual labourer) with the Welfare Board. Her eldest daughter, Payal Kumari Raj, secured the 6th position in the Class 10 merit list under the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Raipur.
In recognition of her achievement, Payal was awarded a ₹1,00,000 incentive under the scheme. The cheque was presented during a formal event held at the New Circuit House in Civil Lines, Raipur. The award was handed over by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Labour Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan, and the Chairman of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering the children of labourers through education and providing them with opportunities for a better future.
