Yogi Govt to offer free training in French, Spanish, and German under Skill Development Mission.

Lucknow : As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance youth skills and connect them with employment opportunities, in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) has launched a unique initiative to provide foreign language training to students in nine districts of the state, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Jhansi, and Banda.

The aim of this program is to make students and professionals proficient in French, Spanish, and German, enabling them to add new qualifications to their profiles, advance in their careers, and secure new employment opportunities both within the country and abroad.

The training will be provided by expert faculty from the English and Foreign Languages University, Lucknow, and the entire cost will be borne by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission.

Training sessions will be organized in all the mentioned districts, with a total duration of 192 hours. These sessions will be conducted on weekends.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, stated that this program is specially designed for students and professionals who wish to enhance their language skills outside of their regular working hours. “This includes graduate students of engineering, tourism and hospitality management, and nursing and healthcare professionals seeking employment in countries like France and Canada.”

He added that expert faculty from the university will visit the districts to conduct training sessions. Through this initiative, students and professionals will gain more employment opportunities and enhance their skills. Initially, the program is being launched in nine districts, but if demand increases, similar courses can be conducted in other districts as well.

Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, Abhishek Singh, mentioned that due to the limited availability of seats, this initiative is starting in nine districts. Interested students and professionals can register online by visiting the UPSDM portal (upsdm.gov.in).

He has urged the District Magistrates of these nine districts to encourage students from their respective institutions to take advantage of this golden opportunity. This will enable them to receive free training in foreign languages, enhancing their future prospects without any financial burden.
