CM Yogi announces rewards of Rs 1 lakh each for 7 brave individuals involved in Shravasti flood rescue.
Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Thursday, honored five PAC soldiers who rescued 11 people trapped in a flood in Shravasti on July 7. He gave them commendation certificates and announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh each for their bravery. He also announced commendation certificates and a reward of Rs 1 lakh each for Rekha Devi, who provided timely and accurate information without panic, and Ram Ujagar, who guided the PAC soldiers.

It is worth mentioning that on July 7 in Shravasti, 11 people got trapped in floodwaters suddenly released from Nepal in the village of Mohanpur Bhartha and Kevatan Purwa in the Gram Panchayat Gajobhari of Jamunha Tehsil.
Rekha Devi, a worker from Bhartha Kevatanpurwa village, informed the administration accurately and timely without panicking, enabling them to understand the situation and the workers’ plight.
Additionally, Ram Ujagar from Bhartha Kevatanpurwa courageously guided the PAC flood rescue team on the boat. The five PAC soldiers—Sonu Kumar, Amresh Kumar Saroj, Shubham Singh, Satish Kumar Yadav, and Manoj Kumar—conducted a successful night rescue operation successfully.
In recognition, the Chief Minister awarded commendation certificates to all seven individuals and announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh rupees each.
