Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that advocates are an integral pillar of the justice system, and their service and dedication have given new dimensions to India’s legal framework. By helping deliver swift justice to the underprivileged, he said, advocates play a key role in nation-building.
The Chief Minister made these remarks during a meeting with members of the Executive Committee of the Rajasthan Bar Council, who called on him at his residence on Sunday. The Bar Council representatives expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the Rs 7.5 crore special grant allocated to the Council in the Rajasthan State Budget 2024–25.
During the interaction, they discussed strengthening the state’s judiciary and addressed various legal issues. CM Sharma appreciated the work of the Bar Council of Rajasthan, acknowledging its important role in implementing legal reforms, promoting legal education, and providing legal aid. He highlighted that the state government is working in a phased manner to improve infrastructure and facilities in courts across Rajasthan.
The Chief Minister also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives such as the Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and One Tree in Mother’s Name campaign, which have provided a positive direction to the nation and society. He said the impact of these campaigns is clearly visible, and in a similar spirit, advocates too can play a significant role in guiding society in a positive direction.
CM Sharma encouraged legal professionals to dedicate a portion of their time to social causes, noting that such engagement would enhance their contribution to the community.
The meeting was also attended by Rajasthan Bar Council Chairman Shri Bhuvnesh Sharma and several senior advocates.
