Minister of State for Forests Honours Talented Students; Highlights the Pivotal Role of Purusharthi Community in Nation-Building
Jaipur – Minister of State for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge), Shri Sanjay Sharma, attended a felicitation ceremony organised by the Purusharthi District Committee in Alwar at the Pratap Auditorium on Sunday. The event honoured outstanding students from the Purusharthi community for their academic and personal achievements.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Sharma extended his best wishes to the Purusharthi community’s executive members. He praised the community’s significant contribution to the nation’s freedom struggle and development, stating, “The Purusharthi community has played a vital role in India’s progress and in the service of Bharat Mata. The community gave birth to many freedom fighters, including the brave martyr Bhagat Singh, who broke the chains of colonial slavery.”
He also highlighted the community’s continued contribution to India’s economy and nation-building. Commending the initiative to honour young talents, Sharma called it a source of inspiration and encouraged the students to pursue excellence. Quoting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he said, “The community that pursues quality education is bound to advance.” He assured the audience that their demands for forming a Punjabi Education Board, allocation of land for community coaching centres and schools, and other such initiatives would be positively pursued.
MLA from Ramgarh, Shri Sukhwant Singh, acknowledged the Purusharthi community’s selfless service and commitment to social welfare in Alwar district. He noted that the community’s efforts in humanitarian service continue to inspire others.
During the programme, Shri Kuldeep Kalra, President of the District Purusharthi Committee, welcomed the dignitaries. The event was anchored by Shri Dinesh Sharma and Shri Suresh Nagpal. A large number of community members and intellectuals were in attendance.
Public Grievance Redressal at Residence
Earlier in the day, Minister Sharma conducted a public grievance hearing at his residence, 201 Raghumarg. Citizens from various parts of the state submitted complaints regarding water supply, electricity, roads, and law enforcement issues. The Minister listened attentively and directed concerned officials to ensure timely and effective resolution. He instructed them to inform the complainants once their issues are resolved and to ensure satisfaction. Emphasising accountability, he warned that negligence in addressing public grievances would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
