CM Dhami Launches Book on RSS Philosophy, Highlights Strong Measures for Cultural and National Integrity

Dehradun – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the reprinted edition of the book “Philosophy and Action of RSS for Hind Swaraj” during a ceremony at the IRDT Auditorium, Dehradun. The event was attended by RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, nationalist thinker and Prajna Pravah convener J. Nandakumar, Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, and numerous RSS volunteers, social, and political activists.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhami said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is a disciplined organization driven by spiritual consciousness, fully dedicated to nation-building. He described the RSS as the cornerstone of India’s reconstruction and commended its unwavering commitment to preserving cultural values and fostering national pride.

Book Captures the Spirit of RSS and Hind Swaraj

The Chief Minister explained that the book, originally written in 1951 by Catholic priest Father Anthony, deeply analyzes the ideology, structure, and functioning of the RSS, while also capturing the essence of Hind Swaraj. Despite prevalent misconceptions about the RSS at the time, Father Anthony offered a neutral and honest perspective, portraying it not as a communal group but as a spiritually charged organization devoted to the nation’s progress.

Dhami emphasized that this book will serve as an ideological guide for future generations and will help them understand the sacrifices, discipline, and vision of RSS volunteers.

Cultural and Spiritual Reforms in Uttarakhand

CM Dhami outlined significant steps taken by his government, including making the teaching of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita compulsory in state-run schools. He emphasized that this move represents a vital spiritual and cultural initiative. Uttarakhand was also the first state in India to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) to ensure equal laws for all citizens.

He reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance approach towards ‘Land Jihad’, revealing that over 7,000 acres of encroached government land have been reclaimed. More than 200 illegal madrasas have been sealed and 500 unauthorized structures demolished.

Action Against Anti-Sanatana and Conversion Elements

CM Dhami stressed that his administration is determined to protect the state’s cultural demography and fight back against conversions and anti-Sanatana conspiracies. Through “Operation Kaalnemi”, the state is cracking down on imposters and anti-religious elements who mislead people and hurt religious sentiments. He warned such elements would not be tolerated and would be expelled from Uttarakhand.

He condemned practices like Land Jihad, Love Jihad, and Thook Jihad, and assured that his government would continue strict actions against such radical ideologies.

RSS: A Century of National Service and Cultural Awakening

CM Dhami paid tribute to Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS founder, and praised the organization’s century-long role in reviving India’s cultural identity, social harmony, national pride, and service. He said that the RSS has lit the lamp of national consciousness in every corner of the country, helping the nation transition from colonial mindsets to cultural confidence.

India’s Cultural Renaissance Under PM Modi

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhami said, India is witnessing a cultural renaissance. Long-neglected aspects of Indian history and heritage are now being restored and integrated into the national consciousness.

He highlighted historic reforms such as the abrogation of Article 370, the end of Triple Talaq, and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and Waqf Act Amendments as steps toward achieving “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”. Public welfare schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and free ration distribution are connecting the most marginalized citizens to the mainstream of development.

Unwavering Commitment to Devbhoomi’s Heritage

CM Dhami reiterated that his government remains fully committed to preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He affirmed that their mission to uphold Sanatana values and protect national integrity is being pursued with an uncompromising resolve.
