Rajasthan Teej Festival 2025 — Handicrafts Steal the Show, Bangladeshi Diplomat Ms. Samia Israt Rony Visits Teej Fair

Jaipur : At the week-long Teej Festival 2025, being held at Bikaner House in New Delhi until 30 July, handicraft products made by artisans associated with Rajeevika and RUDA have gained remarkable attention. These handcrafted items have created a buzz, attracting especially female shoppers from various parts of Delhi, who are flocking to the stalls for their preferred purchases.

On Friday, Ms. Samia Israt Rony, a senior official from the High Commission of Bangladesh, visited the craft fair and food festival. Mrs. Anju Omprakash, Additional Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan in New Delhi, warmly welcomed Ms. Rony and presented her with a souvenir symbolizing the handicrafts created by artisans of Rajasthan.

While giving Ms. Rony a guided tour of all the stalls, she explained the theme of the Teej Festival, the traditions of Teej, and its cultural significance in Rajasthani heritage.

After visiting the Teej Fair, Ms. Rony engaged with Rajasthani handicraft artisans and craftsmen to understand the techniques and practical uses of their products. She praised their artistry, offered her best wishes, and encouraged them with her kind words.

Special Programs on the Weekend

Special programs are scheduled over the weekend to attract more visitors and attendees to the Teej Festival. Rajasthan Tourism will organize a Rajasthani Cultural Evening, during which folk artists from different regions of the state will give musical and dance performances lasting around two hours.

Additionally, the highlight of the festival—the Teej Procession—will also be held, featuring hundreds of women dressed in vibrant traditional attire, participating in the ceremonial procession and worshipping Goddess Teej.
