CM Bhajanlal Sharma Plants Bilva Sapling under ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ Campaign at Jodhpur House, New Delhi

Jaipur, Aug 2025Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, during his visit to New Delhi on Sunday, planted a Bilva (Bael) sapling at Jodhpur House as part of the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign. On this occasion, he emphasized that plants like Bilva hold immense religious and medicinal significance. He also highlighted the need to plant diverse species of trees to preserve biodiversity.

The Chief Minister stated that under the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ and ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ campaigns, Rajasthan has set a target of planting 10 crore (100 million) saplings this year. So far, over 7.5 crore saplings have already been planted. He noted that on the occasion of Hariyali Teej, a record 2.5 crore saplings were planted in a single day, reflecting the public’s environmental awareness and commitment.

Shri Sharma remarked that environmental conservation is a collective responsibility. Planting trees should not be seen merely as a symbolic act but as a meaningful effort to secure a green and healthy future for coming generations. He also called upon the public to accelerate the momentum of the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign.
