Two MoUs Signed in Presence of CM Dr. Yadav for Anand Gram Development and River Conservation

In the presence of Chief Minister and President of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Dr. Mohan Yadav, two MoUs on separate thematic areas were signed on Monday. The signing and exchange of the MoUs took place during a brief ceremony held at Sam atva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence. CM Dr. Yadav, congratulating all the participating institutions, said, “Together, we will work for the all-round development of the state. 

The first MoU, a tripartite agreement, was signed between the State Institute of Happiness, Bhopal; Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot; and the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Bhopal. This MoU aims to launch a joint initiative for the development of Anand Grams (villages of happiness) and the implementation of village development models aligned with sustainable development goals through mutual training and cooperation among the three institutions.

The second MoU, a bilateral agreement, was signed between the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Bhopal and Narmada Samagra, Bhopal. This MoU seeks to foster collaborative efforts between the two organisations to transform public attitudes and the current conditions surrounding river conservation in Madhya Pradesh.

The event was attended by Shri Mohan Nagar, Vice Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad; Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Housing; Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Department of Happiness (Anand); Shri Ashish Kumar Gupta, CEO, Rajya Anand Sansthan; Dr. Bakul Lad, Executive Director, Jan Abhiyan Parishad; Shri Abhay Mahajan, Organising Secretary, Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot; Shri Basant Pandit, Treasurer-cum-Secretary, Deendayal Research Institute; Shri Rajesh Dave, President, Narmada Samagra Trust, Bhopal; Shri Karan Singh Kaushik, Secretary, Narmada Samagra; and Shri Kartik Sapre, Chief Executive, Narmada Samagra, along with other senior officials.

Background of the MoUs

The Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, in line with its core objectives, is committed to ensuring public participation in government schemes and programs through volunteerism, collectivity, and self-reliance, thereby bringing about a qualitative improvement in people’s lives. To this end, the Parishad regularly signs MoUs with expert departments and organisations to design programs and events in coordination and mutual agreement with all stakeholders. The objective of the first tripartite MoU is to enable the three institutions to leverage each other’s strengths and expertise to contribute meaningfully to the holistic development of the state. The second bilateral MoU is aimed at formulating and implementing a comprehensive strategy for the rejuvenation and protection of River Narmada and its tributaries through joint efforts, thereby ensuring their free and clean flow for future generations.
