No Casualties in Gas Tanker Overturn Incident on Mumbai-Goa Highway
Mumbai, Aug 25 : There were no casualties reported in the gas tanker overturning incident near Hatkhamba on the Mumbai-Goa Highway. Traffic on the highway has been restored to normal, according to a statement issued by the Public Works Department (Public Undertakings).
The incident occurred today at around 9:30 AM in the Hatkhamba reconstruction section of the highway, where a gas tanker overturned due to overspeeding. Reports of the accident were circulated in the media. The tanker toppled onto a small roadside tea stall and 3-4 two-wheelers parked nearby. However, there were no fatalities or injuries reported in the incident.
Traffic movement in the area has resumed. The contractor company, in coordination with the police authorities, has provided all necessary mechanical assistance, and the operation to upright and remove the tanker is currently underway.
