Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Assists 6,395 Patients in Pune Division with ₹55 Crore Aid
Mumbai, Aug 2025 : The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund has become a major support system for economically weaker and poor patients across Maharashtra. In the Pune Division alone, financial assistance amounting to ₹54.91 crore has been provided to patients over the past seven months.
Following the directive of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a paperless and digital system has been implemented along with the establishment of district-level cells. This has eliminated the need for patients to visit the Mantralaya. Patients are encouraged to first avail benefits under schemes like Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, or charitable hospital schemes. If treatment under these schemes is not feasible, applications can be submitted through hospitals affiliated with the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund. This ensures the optimal use of government schemes and directs funds to genuinely needy patients, informed Rameshwar Naik, Head of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Charitable Hospital Assistance Cell.
