Revenue Week Celebrated with Enthusiasm at the Mumbai City District Collector’s Office
Mumbai, Aug 2025 : Under the chairmanship of Mumbai City District Collector Anchal Goyal, “Revenue Day” was enthusiastically celebrated at the District Collector’s Office on August 1. During the event, certificates were distributed to beneficiaries of various government schemes, and officers and employees who had performed outstanding work were felicitated. From August 1 to 7, Revenue Week was organized by the District Collector’s Office to address various issues of citizens. The Mumbai City District Administration expressed its commitment to providing timely, transparent, and efficient services to the public.
During the Revenue Day program, Additional Collector Ravi Katakdhond praised the functioning of the District Collector’s Office and appealed to everyone to take a positive approach toward expediting the resolution of pending cases. Resident Deputy Collector Dr. Shivananda Langdapure explained the importance of Revenue Day and provided information about various initiatives in the revenue administration.
As part of Revenue Week (August 1–7):
- On August 2, the “Clean and Beautiful My Office” campaign was implemented, involving cleaning of office branches, classification, and organization of documents.
- On August 3, under the special initiative “Sainik Ho Tumchya Sathi” (Soldier, for You), cheques providing financial assistance were distributed to ex-servicemen and their dependents.
- Under the “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj MahaRajaswa Abhiyan,” special camps were held across Mumbai City on August 4 to provide services such as income certificates, domicile certificates, caste certificates, non-creamy layer certificates, Ayushman cards, etc. Applications received at these camps were processed immediately.
- On August 5, a camp was organized to update Aadhaar cards for beneficiaries of the Special Assistance Scheme.
- On August 6, alongside a special camp at Cuffe Parade, Colaba, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology training workshop was conducted for the employees of the District Collector’s Office.
- On August 7, Gram Revenue Officers inspected licenses under the Minor Minerals Department. A meeting was also held under the chairmanship of the Collector to understand the challenges faced by the transgender community.
From August 1 to 7, through these camps and mobile teams, a total of 2,074 applications were received for income certificates, domicile certificates, senior citizen certificates, caste certificates, non-creamy layer certificates, and residence certificates, all of which are being processed promptly.
Resident Deputy Collector Dr. Shivananda Langdapure informed that camps will soon be organized by the District Collector’s Office for Aadhaar card services, ration card issuance, benefits under the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, voter registration and ID cards, as well as health check-ups.
