Rajasthan Emerging as Global Business-Friendly Hub: CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur, Aug 2025 – Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said Rajasthan is gaining global recognition as a business-friendly state, thanks to its geographical location, mineral wealth, energy potential, and investment-friendly policies. Last year’s Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit resulted in MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore, which, once implemented, will boost infrastructure development and create large-scale employment in the state.
Chairing a review meeting at his residence on the progress of MoUs signed during the summit, the CM said the event was not just a one-time programme but part of the state’s continuous development journey. The government aims to accelerate growth through investment, innovation, and inclusive development.
Faster Implementation of MoUs
The CM directed officials to expedite land allocation and related processes so that all MoUs are implemented within the stipulated time. If the desired location is unavailable, alternative nearby sites should be offered to investors. He emphasised that every MoU—large or small—is important for Rajasthan’s growth, as even smaller agreements create local jobs and collectively contribute to major investments. District Collectors were instructed to regularly monitor MoU implementation and hold review meetings with investors.
Mining and Tourism: Engines of Growth
Sharma described mining and tourism as the engines driving Rajasthan’s development and urged officials to explore further opportunities in these sectors. Before the Rising Rajasthan Partnership Conclave in December, pre-summits should be held on mining, petrochemicals, and tourism. He also called for comprehensive surveys to identify mineral deposits.
The CM noted Rajasthan’s rapid growth in tourism, attracting visitors from around the world for its palaces, forts, and havelis. He stressed the importance of preserving Shekhawati’s havelis as heritage and developing them for tourism to strengthen the sector further.
December Conclave Preparations
Preparations for the Rising Rajasthan Partnership Conclave 2025, scheduled in Jaipur this December, were also discussed. The event will showcase the industrial and economic transformation achieved through the 2024 summit MoUs and promote international, government-to-government, and multilateral investment partnerships. Special sessions will focus on youth, women, and farmers, along with an “One District, One Product” exhibition.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, senior departmental officials, and various District Collectors via video conferencing.
