In 25 Years of Development, Chhattisgarh Has Set New Benchmarks in Every Field: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur, Aug 2025 – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the IBC 24 Swarn Sharda Scholarship 2025 program held in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, he honored the meritorious daughters of the state who secured positions in the Class 12 merit list and presented them with financial assistance cheques.
Extending his best wishes, CM Sai told the meritorious students that hard work always leads to success. He urged them to fulfill any responsibility entrusted to them in the future with dedication and honesty. He said this award not only boosts the confidence of daughters but also provides them financial support. For talented children from poor families, this scholarship will play a vital role in shaping their future and greatly assist them in pursuing higher education.
The Chief Minister said that before Chhattisgarh’s formation, the region lagged behind in the race for development. With the efforts of revered Atal Ji, the state came into existence and its journey of progress began. “Now, we have prepared a roadmap for a Developed Chhattisgarh through a vision document, and work on it is moving rapidly. With the cooperation and participation of every citizen, we will fulfill this dream,” he said. He stressed that education is the key to development, noting that in the past 25 years, several national-level institutions such as IIT, IIM, and AIIMS, along with more than 10 medical colleges, have been established. The dream of quality higher education for the state’s children is now being realized.
Highlighting education reforms, CM Sai said that due to rationalization, no school in the state is now without teachers. Even in remote regions like Karregutta—where schools once remained locked—teachers are now present. The imbalance in teacher distribution has been corrected.
The Chief Minister also underlined Chhattisgarh’s potential, stating that it is rich in mineral resources and has immense possibilities for industrial growth. He said that within just one and a half years of implementing the new industrial policy, the state has received investment proposals worth over ₹6.5 lakh crore. The policy places top priority on employment generation, ensuring that in the coming years, youth will find jobs within the state itself, without needing to migrate outside.
During the program, students interacted with the CM. Priya Baghel from Gariaband asked about promoting sports talent, to which CM Sai responded that through Khelo India Centers, arrangements are being made to nurture players’ skills and provide them with international-level training. Another student, Khushi Dewangan, raised questions about technology and AI, and the CM replied that technology-based education is being encouraged in Chhattisgarh, with concrete steps already taken in this direction.
At the event, district toppers of Class 12 and students who secured ranks in the state merit list from all districts were honored. The ceremony was attended by IBC 24 Group Chairman Suresh Goyal, eminent citizens, students from across the state, and their families in large numbers.
