Shivsrushti Will Familiarize Tourists with History While Enhancing Baramati’s Cultural and Tourism Significance – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Baramati, Aug 2025: The Shivsrushti project at Kanheri will not only introduce tourists to history and inspire them but will also enhance the cultural and tourism importance of Baramati, said Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.

Today, Deputy CM Pawar reviewed various development works in the Baramati area. He inspected Shivsrushti, the Kanheri Forest Park, the old age home at Tandulwadi, and the Tiranga Chowk, and gave necessary instructions to officials. Member of Parliament Sunetra Pawar was also present on the occasion.

During his visit, Pawar inspected the road adjoining the canal at the historical theme park Shivsrushti and directed officials for improved development work. The park will feature grand replicas depicting the life journey of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. These include recreations of the Sadar and Agra Durbar, marketplaces and royal courts from the Shiv era, a replica of Rajgad fort entrance, exhibits of the Maratha naval fleet, as well as documentaries and 3D animations providing live experiences of Shiv-era battles.

Pawar also visited the development works at Kanheri Forest Park within Baramati’s forest division and reviewed details with officials. At the same venue, the Adventure and Nature Club concluded its training program in adventure sports, where 14 trainees were awarded certificates. The Deputy CM expressed confidence that such initiatives will create new employment opportunities for youth and further boost Baramati’s tourism sector.
