Minister Hiralal Nagar Orders Swift Relief for Rain-Hit Victims in Bundi, Stresses Immediate Crop Damage Assessment

Jaipur, Sep 2025: Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) and Bundi district in-charge minister Hiralal Nagar on Friday reviewed the flood-like situation caused by heavy rains and the relief measures underway in affected areas of the district.

Chairing a review meeting at the Collectorate, Nagar directed officials that providing timely relief to victims is the government’s top priority and that no negligence would be tolerated.

He reviewed rainfall statistics, damage caused by excessive rains, and assistance being extended to families of those who lost their lives in the disaster. Expressing grief over deaths caused by lightning strikes and drowning, he instructed officials to expedite compensation for the bereaved families. He also urged departments to work in close coordination to ensure that relief reaches even the most vulnerable.

Nagar discussed repair proposals for rain-damaged government buildings, especially schools, hospitals, and anganwadi centers. Reviewing proposals submitted under SDRF norms, he instructed the Public Works Department to expedite restoration so that essential public services are not disrupted.

Placing emphasis on farmers’ plight, the minister directed agriculture and revenue officials to immediately conduct crop damage assessments (girdawari) as per state guidelines. “Farmers are the backbone of our economy. The government stands with them in this hour of crisis. Ensure crop assessments are transparent and timely so that farmers receive compensation and crop insurance benefits quickly,” he said.

District Collector Akshay Godara informed the minister that relief operations are being carried out on a war footing. Temporary shelters, food, drinking water, and medical facilities have been arranged for affected families. He also presented a detailed report on SDRF proposals and ongoing action.

The meeting was attended by District In-charge Secretary Kunjilal Meena, the District Collector, and officials from various departments.
