CM Bhajanlal Sharma Reviews Preparations for Pravasi Rajasthani Day on December 10
Focus on Education, Health, Water, Tourism and Industry; Greater Participation of Diaspora Expected in National and International Meets
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has directed officials to ensure timely preparations for the successful organization of Pravasi Rajasthani Day scheduled on December 10. He emphasized maximum participation of the diaspora in both the National Pravasi Rajasthani Meet and the International Pravasi Rajasthani Meet, which will be held in the run-up to the main event.
Chairing a review meeting at the CMO on Tuesday, Sharma said that during the one-day Pravasi Rajasthani Day, sessions will be organized on key sectors such as education, tourism, industry, health, and water management. He instructed officials to design a framework that connects diaspora achievers and subject experts who have made remarkable contributions in these areas.
The CM further directed the appointment of nodal officers to facilitate investments across these sectors and also instructed officials to prepare a short film on “Panchgaurav” to be screened during the event, so that Pravasi Rajasthanis feel a strong emotional connect with their native districts. He also called for close coordination with Rajasthan-origin officers serving in other states.
Sharma announced that outstanding Pravasi Rajasthanis who have made significant contributions in social, economic, industrial, and other fields will be felicitated during the celebrations.
Highlighting the preparatory roadmap, the Chief Minister said that National Pravasi Rajasthani Meets will be organized in Hyderabad, Surat, and Kolkata during September and October, while the International Pravasi Rajasthani Meet will take place in November. He instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements are completed on time.
It is noteworthy that, on the CM’s directions, Pravasi Rajasthani Day will be formally celebrated on December 10.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and senior officials of concerned departments.
