Kolkata Metro Services on Yellow Line to be operated on Saturdays and Sundays

Kolkata, Sept 2025 : Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had inaugurated the Noapara – Jaihind Bimanbandar stretch of the Yellow Line of Metro Railway, Kolkata on 22.08.2025. The regular commercial services commenced on this Line from 25.08.2025 on weekdays. On last Monday, i.e., 08^th. September, 2025, alone 7000 passengers have travelled on this Line.

In consideration of the trend of passenger travel, Metro Railway has decided to operate services on both Saturdays and Sundays between Noapara and Jai Hind Bimanbandar stations from 13.09.25 onwards.

• A total of 44 services (22 UP & 22 DN) will be operated on Saturdays from 07:35 AM to 20:32 PM, at 35 minutes interval.

• 40 services (20 UP & 20 DN) will be operated on Sundays, wherein services will be available from 08:35 AM to 20:22 PM, at 35 minutes interval.
