Chief Minister Reviews Activities of Co-Operation Department

Aizawl, Oct 2025: Mizoram Chief Minister Mr. Lalduhoma convened a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall, Zarkawt, regarding the activities of various Cooperative Federations under the state’s Co-Operation Department. The meeting was attended by the concerned Ministers and heads of departments.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the functioning of different Cooperative Federations, their future plans, ongoing activities, and the challenges they face. Mr. Udid Prakash Rai, Commissioner & Secretary of the Co-Operation Department, highlighted that while Mizoram’s Cooperative Federations are actively functioning, there are still areas that require improvement. He also emphasized that the Federations’ prior efforts in financial management, including loan disbursement and recovery, need to be further strengthened.

The review meeting also included participation from the Ministers and officials of the Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department, Agriculture Department, RD&A, and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department.
