Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will script a new chapter in agricultural development: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will write a new chapter in agricultural development. On Saturday, Dr. Yadav participated virtually from Indore in the ‘Annadata ka Samman, Samriddh Rashtra ka Nirman’ program organized by the Union Ministry of Agriculture in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the event and also virtually inaugurated the state-of-the-art milk powder plant in Indore with a capacity of 3 million tonnes. He described the initiative to link cooperative societies in Indore, Gwalior, and others to PACS as historic. Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for these projects for Madhya Pradesh.

Dr. Yadav virtually attended the programme from Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore. Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan also addressed from Delhi. Present on the occasion were Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Shri Lakhan Patel, MLAs Shri Madhu Verma, Shri Ramesh Mendola, Shri Manoj Patel, Chairman of the Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation Shri Sawan Sonkar, Shri Sumit Mishra, and a large number of farmers.

After the program, while speaking to media representatives, Dr. Yadav said that the Prime Minister has announced two major schemes for farmers across the country – PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the Mission for Self-Reliance Pulses Production. Dr. Yadav stated that the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will bring about transformative changes in agricultural development and allied sectors. He also informed that so far, 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) have registered 50 lakh farmers as members.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that under the National Rural Agriculture Mission, certification has been provided to 100,000 farmers and 4,275 ‘Maitri’, approval for computerization has been given to more than 10,000 multi-purpose PACS, and inaugurations and foundation stone layings have taken place for various projects in dairy, fisheries, livestock, food processing, and more.

The Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the advanced milk powder plant in Indore with a capacity of 30 lakh tonnes and costing ₹79 crore, and connected cooperative unions of Indore and Gwalior with PACS.

It is noteworthy that the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Mission for Self-Reliance Pulses Production will complement efforts to increase production in the country’s 100 low-yield districts and accelerate the production of pulses. The special program included agricultural and allied sector development projects worth over ₹42,000 crore. These will not only bring prosperity to farmers but also help the country achieve self-reliance in farm output.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was warmly welcomed and honored by farmers of Indore district – Shri Kailash Jirati, Shri Ghanshyam Patidar, Shri Gajanan, and Shri Vasudev Patidar and many others.
