Minister of State Meghna Sakore-Bordikar Reviews Proposal to Establish Women’s Credit Society

Nanded, Oct 2025 : A review meeting on the establishment of a women’s credit society was held today at the District Collector’s office under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Meghna Sakore-Bordikar.

During the meeting, District Women and Child Development Officer Ganesh Wagh presented the current status of efforts to set up the women’s credit society in the district.

Also present at the meeting were MLA Smt. Jayachaya Chavan, Resident Deputy Collector Kiran Ambekar, representatives from UMED (MSRLM), NRLM, women’s self-help groups, the District Women and Child Development Office, Child Development Project Officers, and representatives of private organizations. Each department and organization reviewed and shared updates on the progress made at their respective levels toward establishing the society.

Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar directed all concerned departments to expedite the process and ensure that the women’s credit society is established by November 15.

On this occasion, the Nanded City Child Development Project Office released an information booklet highlighting the activities conducted during the 28th National Nutrition Month (Poshan Mah). The booklet was unveiled by Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar and MLA Jayachaya Chavan.
