Vikram Samvat 2082: A Year of Growth and Prosperity for All – Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Extends New Year and Diwali Greetings

Gandhinagar, Oct 2025: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended heartfelt greetings to all citizens and Gujarati families across the world on the auspicious occasion of Diwali and the New Year, Vikram Samvat 2082. He wished that the new year brings renewed enthusiasm, joy, and prosperity to everyone.

In his festive message, the Chief Minister said that the festival of lights inspires society to move from darkness to illumination. Drawing from this inspiration, Gujarat continues to progress with the positive spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, Development for all).

CM Patel urged citizens to support local traders, artisans, and entrepreneurs during the festive season by pledging to follow the spirit of “Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi” and “Vocal for Local”, thus carrying the message of self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) to every household.

He further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered a “double bonus of happiness” to the people this Diwali through the launch of Next Gen GST Reforms, which have simplified business operations, accelerated development, and helped Gujarat reach new heights of prosperity.

The Chief Minister highlighted that under the Prime Minister’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047, Gujarat has formulated the ‘Agenda for 2035’ to achieve the goals of Viksit Gujarat@2047, ensuring all-round growth of the state.

Expressing his hopes for the new year, he said that every Gujarati should commit to contributing to the realization of the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India through a developed Gujarat.

CM Patel also stated that Gujarat has established itself as the growth engine of India, and the hosting of the Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad in 2030 will be a moment of great pride for the state. He expressed his best wishes that Gujarat’s culture and model of development continue to serve as an inspiration for the entire nation in the years to come.

Concluding his message, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to accelerating the state’s uninterrupted development journey, wishing that Vikram Samvat 2082 marks a year of greater progress and prosperity for all.
