RPF Personnel Felicitated by IG-Cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Eastern Railway.
Mr. Amiya Nandan Sinha, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Eastern Railway, inspected Sealdah station on 10th November 2025. During the inspection, Mr. Sinha have emphasised the importance of utilising modern technology to address passenger grievances and strengthen security measures at stations as well as during train journeys.
On the same day, Mr. Sinha also recognised and felicitated 06 RPF officers and staff of Eastern Railway for their exemplary performance in ensuring passenger safety and security.
Sub-Inspector Mohit; ASI Mrityunjay Das; Head Constable Uttam Das; Constable Nurul Hoda of Howrah Division were lauded for their commendable efforts in rescuing 07 minor girls and 11 minor boys from being trafficked at Howrah station on 04.08.2025. They were awarded the “Suraksha Samman” and “Performer of the Month – August 2025” for their outstanding work.
In addition, Lady Sub-Inspector Karuna Kumari was honoured for her courageous act on 29.09.2025, when she saved the life of a male passenger at Dum Dum railway station who had accidentally slipped into the gap between a moving train and the platform while boarding in haste. She was conferred the “Performer of the Month – September 2025” in recognition of her life-saving effort while on duty.

Mr. Sinha congratulated the awardees for their dedication and exemplary service, noting that their actions would inspire others to continue performing their duties with sincerity and commitment towards ensuring railway security.
