“Amrit Durgotsav 2025” Honoured with Guinness World Record; Certificate Presented to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai, Nov 2025 : The Maharashtra Research, Advancement and Training Prabodhini (AMRUT) — an institution functioning under the Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department — has earned global recognition for its remarkable work. Its initiative, “Amrit Durgotsav 2025,” has secured a Guinness World Record in the category of “Largest Digital Photo Album of Human-Made Replicas.” The Guinness World Record certificate was formally presented to AMRUT and handed over to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, OBC Welfare Minister Atul Save, and AMRUT Managing Director Vijay Joshi were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Fadnavis congratulated the AMRUT institution for this achievement. He said Maharashtra’s fort heritage represents the essence of the state’s history, and through “Amrit Durgotsav,” the institution has performed commendable work by connecting the younger generation with this historical legacy.
Under the “Amrit Durgotsav 2025” campaign, citizens were encouraged to click selfies with replicas of 12 UNESCO-recognized historical forts and upload them on the official festival website. People from across Maharashtra, several Indian states, and even other countries enthusiastically participated. Every participant received a digital certificate of appreciation bearing the signature of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
