Raipur, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that Maoism in Bastar is rapidly heading toward complete eradication. Under the ‘Niyad Nellanar Yojana’, villagers living in remote interior regions are being quickly connected with essential government schemes. Like other parts of the state, Bastar too is being taken to new heights of development. In just about two years, the state government has fulfilled most of its guarantees and continues to work tirelessly toward making Chhattisgarh a prosperous state. The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the Budhadev Mahotsav organized by the Gaada Samaj in Kondagaon today.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 61 development works worth ₹127 crore. He announced ₹90 lakh for the construction of the Kongud–Dhanora road, ₹39 crore for the Keshkal–Vishrampuri road, and ₹2.71 crore for a 100-seater Scheduled Tribe girls’ hostel in Kudhur village. He also announced ₹1.5 crore for operating a multipurpose centre, a Divyang (differently-abled) support centre, and a coaching centre.
During the event, he released a coffee-table book Journey of Dignity: Story of NRLM Kondagaon, an Early Childhood Care handbook, a helpline number for high-risk pregnancies, a Helmet Bank initiative, and a Suposhit Vikas Chart.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai stated that the state is celebrating its Silver Jubilee to mark 25 years of its formation. He added that Chhattisgarh is rich in natural resources, and its soil is extremely fertile. A total of 18 lakh houses have been approved under housing schemes. Paddy procurement began on 15 November. Beneficiaries are continuously being supported under schemes such as the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Tendu Patta Collectors’ Welfare Scheme, and Charan Paduka Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that quality education is essential for becoming a good farmer, entrepreneur, public servant, or political leader. Therefore, he urged all families to prioritize their children’s education.
MLA Lata Usendi also addressed the event, highlighting the achievements and welfare initiatives of the state government.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai received a warm welcome with the traditional collective performance of the Mohri instrument. He also offered prayers to Budhadev, seeking the well-being and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh.
The event was attended by Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, MPs Mahesh Kashyap and Bhojraj Nag, MLAs Neelkanth Tekam and Asharam Netam, Chhattisgarh Fishermen Welfare Board Chairman Bharat Matiyara, District Panchayat Chairperson Rita Shori, Kamalchandra Bhanjdeo, former MP Mohan Mandavi, former MLA Shishupal Shori, and Gaada Samaj representatives Pradeep Kuldeep, Dr. Kiran Baghel, and Ashok Chauhan, along with a large number of dignitaries.
