Tripura Assembly’s Petitions Committee Conducts Study Visit to Rajasthan Assembly
Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly’s Petitions Committee visited the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Wednesday for a study tour. The committee members observed the Assembly building and received detailed information on the functioning of the House, its procedures, and its operational systems. They also visited the digital museum located within the Assembly premises.
The committee was thoroughly briefed on the innovations introduced by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani in House management, digitization, transparency, and modern administrative practices. The committee members remarked that the innovations adopted by the Rajasthan Assembly serve as an inspiration for other legislative assemblies in the country.
During the study visit, Chairman of the Rajasthan Assembly’s Petitions Committee, Shri Kailash Verma, welcomed the Chairman of the Tripura Petitions Committee, Shri Abhishek Debroy, by presenting him with a traditional safa, shawl, and bouquet. Shri Kailash Verma also briefed the Tripura committee members about the innovations implemented by Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani.
On this occasion, members of the Tripura committee — Shri Shambhu Lal Chakma, Smt. Antra Sarkar Deb, Smt. Nandita Debbarma (Riyang), Shri Birajit Singh, and Shri Ashok Chandra Mitra — were present. Members of the Rajasthan Assembly’s Petitions Committee — Shri Jethanand Vyas, Shri Balamukund Acharya, Shri Rajendra Gurjar, Shri Hansraj Patel, and Shri Bhagwana Ram Saini — also took part in the joint meeting. Assistant Secretaries of the Assembly Petitions Committee, Shri Balveer Singh Shekhawat and Shri Shanti Kumar Saini, were also present.
