Chirag Paswan Calls LJP(RV)’s Victory a Fulfilment of Ram Vilas Paswan’s Dream, Vows to Build a “Developed Bihar”

Bihar, Nov 2025 : Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Thursday described his party’s electoral gains as a historic milestone, saying they fulfilled the long-cherished dream of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan. His remarks came shortly after two LJP(RV) MLAs — Sanjay Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Singh — took oath as ministers in the newly formed NDA government in Bihar.

The LJP(RV) emerged as a major force in the recent assembly elections, winning 19 seats and significantly strengthening its political footprint in the state. Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Paswan said the mandate was both a blessing and a reminder of the “huge responsibilities” bestowed upon the party.

Reflecting on his father’s legacy, Paswan said, “I know he (Ram Vilas Paswan) would be the happiest today. He always wanted to see our party rise to new heights. Today, two ministers from our party have taken oath, and this is a proud moment for every LJP(RV) worker. The results clearly show that the party has achieved a massive victory. And with big victories come big responsibilities — responsibilities I fully understand and am committed to fulfilling.”

Calling the day a turning point, Paswan said, “The golden era of Bihar is now beginning.” He reaffirmed that the party’s mission would now shift immediately into execution mode. “From today itself, we will begin working on a war footing to realise our vision of a developed Bihar. Our motto remains unchanged — Bihar first, Biharis first.”

Thursday’s swearing-in ceremony also marked a historic moment for JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar, who took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time. The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several senior NDA leaders, underlining the political importance of the occasion.

Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Kumar, who reiterated his commitment to work within the constitutional framework. The presence of top national leaders amplified the NDA’s message of unity and readiness to govern with renewed strength.

Paswan, whose party has now secured a key place within the NDA’s Bihar structure, stressed that the LJP(RV)’s performance in the elections was only the beginning. He said the party would now focus on governance, delivery, and development-oriented initiatives that align with the aspirations of the people.

“This mandate is not just a victory; it is a responsibility,” Paswan said. “We owe it to the people of Bihar to ensure that development reaches every citizen. My father’s vision was to see Bihar progress, and today we take a major step toward fulfilling that dream.”

With two ministers in the cabinet and an expanded political base, the LJP(RV) is set to play a significant role in the functioning of the new NDA government. Paswan’s strong statements and renewed commitment have further signalled the party’s intent to shape Bihar’s political and developmental future in the years ahead.
