Questionnaire and Opinion Form Released for the Mumbai District Visit of the Trilingual Policy Committee
Mumbai, Nov 2025 : A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of education expert Dr. Narendra Jadhav to determine the Trilingual Policy in schools across Maharashtra in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This committee will visit Mumbai district on November 28, 2025, for which a questionnaire and opinion form have been prepared. These have been made available at the link: http://tribhashasamiti.mahait.org, informed Rajesh Kankal, Deputy Director of Education, Mumbai Division.
During this visit, the committee will interact with general citizens, linguistic experts, thinkers, heads/members of government or non-government/private institutions associated with the Marathi language, leaders/representatives of political parties, primary/secondary teacher associations, office-bearers of parent–teacher associations, activists, and others. The purpose is to gather their views and suggestions regarding the Trilingual Policy.
In accordance with NEP 2020, the committee is visiting various divisions and districts across the state to determine from which class and in what manner the Trilingual Formula should be implemented in schools.
On November 28, 2025, a discussion session for Mumbai district will be held at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Visitor registration will begin at 10:00 AM, and the interaction session will start at 10:30 AM. Additionally, the committee will hold an online video conference from 3 PM to 5 PM the same day to interact with representatives from Thane, Raigad, and Palghar districts.
