Rajasthan Marks Two Years of Government with Major Welfare and Development Initiatives
Jaipur, Dec 2025: As the current government completes two years in office, Rajasthan has witnessed significant progress in implementing welfare schemes and development initiatives aimed at the poor, marginalized, laborers, and tribal communities. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state has focused on ensuring that government programs reach every disadvantaged individual, creating lasting and meaningful changes in their lives.
To simplify access to government services in remote rural areas, the state organized the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Samble Sambal Fortnight from June 24 to July 9, 2025. The initiative included camps in villages for enrolling people in government schemes, resolving land disputes, conducting BPL surveys, promoting water conservation, and providing agricultural support. These camps ensured transparency and efficiency in addressing long-pending issues, reflecting the government’s new work culture and commitment to public welfare.
Under the Chief Minister’s guidance, continuous efforts have been made to secure livelihoods, provide essential facilities, and improve the socio-economic status of vulnerable groups. Tribal areas have received focused attention in education, health, nutrition, and community development, while laborers have gained social security, respect, and economic support. Homeless and nomadic families have been allotted land pattas, marking a significant step in social justice.
Support for Laborers and Workers
Over the past two years, 17.41 lakh laborers have been registered on the e-Shram portal, while 24,191 workers enrolled under the PM Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan scheme. For construction workers, 3.5 lakh new registrations were completed, and 7.22 lakh workers received financial assistance totaling Rs 806 crore. Additionally, the government raised the minimum wage by Rs 26 per day to improve the living standards of workers.
Food Security and Nutrition Programs
The state’s food security initiatives have benefited over 70 lakh new eligible individuals, ensuring affordable access to essential grains. Under the Shri Annapurna Rasoi scheme, over 15 crore nutritious meals have been served at just Rs 8 per plate, providing relief to laborers, students, and poor families.
Support for Small Entrepreneurs and Housing for Vulnerable Communities
Through the PM SWANidhi scheme, 87,346 street vendors and small entrepreneurs received loans without collateral to revive and expand their businesses. In the past two years, 22,323 land pattas have been allotted to homeless, nomadic, semi-nomadic, and BPL families.
Tribal Development Initiatives
The government has prioritized tribal development through initiatives like the Adi Karmayogi campaign, approving 5,947 Village Action Plans and operating 5,773 Adi Service Centers as single-window service points. The Dharati Aba Tribal Village Utkarshta campaign is being implemented in 6,019 villages, covering education, health, nutrition, and livelihood. Additionally, 135 new Anganwadi centers have been opened in 20 tribal-dominated districts, and 1.53 lakh women have benefited from 530 Van Dhan Development Centers.
Labor Protection and Insurance
Rajasthan is also reforming labor laws under four codes: Social Security, Industrial Relations, Health & Safety, and Wages. To ensure workers’ safety, 25,535 licensed porters and laborers, including 17,802 in agricultural produce markets, have been enrolled in the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
These efforts highlight the government’s commitment to inclusive development, social justice, and improving the livelihoods of Rajasthan’s most vulnerable citizens.
